About the instructor
Benjamin E. Caldwell, PsyD, is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#42723). He serves as adjunct faculty for California State University Northridge in Los Angeles and The Wright Institute in Berkeley. He led the AAMFT workgroup that developed Best Practices in the Online Practice of Couple and Family Therapy. His books include Basics of California Law for LMFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs, and Saving Psychotherapy.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify key legal and ethical concerns with telehealth, and avenues for compliance with each
- Assess various platforms for telehealth and make informed choices about which are best for their practice
- Differentiate clients who appear to be appropriate for online services from those who do not
