California Law & Ethics for LMFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs (3 hr CE)
This course counts toward the California licensure renewal requirement for 6 hours of Legal and Ethical continuing education. (This is a 3-hour course.)
1. As a result of this course, the participant will be able to describe recent, and future, legal and ethical changes in California that impact MFTs.
2. As a result of this course, the participant will be able to identify the recent legal and regulatory changes to telehealth practices in California.
3. As a result of this course, the participant will be able to apply new legal and ethical standards in daily practice.
Benjamin E. Caldwell, PsyD is the author of Basics of California Law for LMFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs. He has spent approximately 10 years as Chair of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee for AAMFT's California Division. Dr. Caldwell serves as adjunct faculty for California State University Northridge and the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. He is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and maintains a private practice in Los Angeles, specializing in working with couples
